Anenome Question

:notsure:
I have a green bulb tip Anenome. It split about two months ago and since then it has not really opened up and/or brightened up like it used to (neither piece). Is there a period that they go through after they split? If so for how long, or is there something wrong?

What kind of lighting and water parameters do you have? Anemones would split when things are going good and also when they are stressed.

I have 2 150 Watt MH for 8 hours a day with blue and 10,000k fl, for 10 hours a day. All of my levels are good. The only thing I can think of is that my water temp might be high, between 82-85. Thank you for the reply.

Ammonia is 0. PH is 8.0. Salinity is 1.019. I am not sure what my Nitrate and Nitrite is. Do you have any suggestions? Also the tank is a 90 gal.

I'm not sure, maybe someone else will know here. Sorry
I doubt this is causing the problem, but your salanity is a bit low. IMO you should SLOWLY raise it to 1.023-1.025.

I've notcied mine get less colorful after a split as well
Notice the one in back that didn't split is darker that the ones in front that did split the night before.
Along with the color, I notice that the bulbs came out on the clones, it could be sucking up extra water to try to get some nutrients to help recuperate from the split, it will also have to work to replace zooxanthellae that may have been lost or used up in the split.
