anenome stuck in filter intake

Does anyone know how to prevent anenomes from getting sucked into filter intakes? Online, I've found the recommendation of using a mesh bag but haven't found a pet store that carries them nor any substitute.

Number of things, you could use pantyhose over the intakes, with a rubberband to hold the hose in place, you could use a sponge to cover the intake, really any type of filter that has small enough holes to allow proper flow, but not allowing solid materials to pass through.
Prefilters are a must with anemones. Dark has a great thread on this topic.
