Anenome Trivia anyone? ID Help

Friends and I were disputing and thought to put it to the test on here. Anyone know the ID on this?

Rock Anemone?? or are you looking for the scientific name??

I have always just thought him a common pacific rock anenome, but friends and I have argued since he changes colors and he doesnt have the long trunk like rocks typically do. I just figured he doesnt like the sandbed so he never needed to grow the trunk but they disagree and say hes not a rock. Long standing argument, I actually have two of them, neither with trunks and niether like the sand bed. Both been in this tank for about 2 years

They just dont think its a rock and are stubbourn about it, no real dilemma about it but it would be nice for someone to say with certainty is it a ____________ anenome

Rock anemone..They come in all sizes and colors, but the features are all the same
