Good morning all, i had a purple long tentacle anenome last night. i introduced a bubble tip anenome last night. this morning i have no purple long tentacle anenome. i have an 80 gallon tank. life was great. could it be that one anenome ate the other? i had them on opposite ends and the bubble tip was still on his side of the tank when i checked it out this AM. thre is no sign of a struggle... nothing.. its just gone, and its not in my filters.

Ill bet you that its in your tank somewhere, they can get real small if they want, look real close

thanks for offering a glimmer of hope.. it wouldnt bury itself in the sand would it. there is a perfect crater where it used to be happy.

Do you have any rock in the tank at all?

yes i have 40 lbs of live rock. the anenome hadnt moved an inch since i placed it in there weeks ago. i have two power compacts and i had a power head angled just for it. i had fed it chopped shrimp (frozen and allowed to thaw) and it was beautiful.
