Angel death

I had a fire angel for 1 year, no problems, then he died, from what I do not know. A month later I got a Bicolor and while I was carrying him up the stairs, the paper bag broke and he hit the floor, plastic bag stay intact. He seamed fine, but he was dead the next morning. I figured it was from the drop. Yesterday (1.5 months later) I got another Bicolor, He was dead this morning. HELP!
I have a 36 gal with a 20 gal sump for a total of 45 gallons. I have not had any other fish die during this time and the water quality is fine, although I do not have a kit to check micro elements.
None of the angels had tissue damage post death, but did have a clear jello like substance around them when dead and removed.

Doesn't sound like your water quality is "fine". Might try posting this in the "Fish Discussion" forum for more hits. No one's looking to solve anyones tank problems in this particular forum.
Even if everything else is fine, that is not an indication of water quality. As water quality deteriorates over time, most animals that were healthy in the first place can adapt, giving the false impression that the water is "fine". You should take a sample to a LFS and have them test it for everything.
For the long-term, Angels require a bit more in their diet than a lot of other fish.

I will send a sample in, good idea. What does your statement
"For the long-term, Angels require a bit more in their diet than a lot of other fish." have to do with my current situation???
