Angels with heavy breathing!

my QT tank has recently started to go very green. and my emperror and queen angel seem to be breathing very heavily.
im going to do hypo and clean out the filters and stuff tomorrow and see if that helps the green water.
but as far as the heavy breathing is concerned, anyone know wat it could be and how to treat it?
there are no signs of anything else except heavy breathing.

Shame on you! You know you need to post water parameters!

There's a few issues.
Post parameters, ASAP
Do a water change, ASAP
You have a very small QT for these fish, they produce a huge bio load. You did have fish with ich in this QT not that long ago, so ich could be an issue, although I think more than likely, you've got bad water conditions going on.
lower the salinity, NOW and do a water change

oh yes params, sorry.
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 20
pH:8.4
im done a 25% water change with fresh water to let the salinity go down.
and i did have ick in this tank yes but i treated with copper not too long ago. but i suppose it could still be that issue.

two filters.
its only a 25g tank and the angels are only 4" and 3.5"
i have a koralia nano but thats in my other QT with my lion.
i had recently had to turn off my skimmer to make way for the filters on both QT's to work because i had limited sockets, but today i picked up a big extension lead so i can have that running again. making the skimmer will bring the nitrate down a little bit.
i'll make another big water change today, maybe 40%

These fish are in too small of a tank, and to have two angels in the same small tank is asking for trouble...I realize its a QT, but it is always better to put one fish at a time in a QT.
Keep an eye out for aggression.

You need to get a powerhead in your QT tank.
Do you still have a divider in there because these guys were fighting in the beginning, right? If so, the divider may need more holes cut into it for better circulation.
I would do hypo. This usually helps a stressed fish that is having difficulty breathing, at least in my experience.
Any plans to put the lion in the DT so you can have the other QT available?

yehh there is a divider in there still, and i've got one filter on one side for circulation and another on the other side, i can add a powerhead and try remove the divider to see if the aggresion has gone down over the month or so that they've been there, and i could put the lion in the DT yes, but i was going to put it in after the angels because of its aggression.
im definately going to do hypo. just incase of anything.
and i will put some more holes in the divider.
and beth yeh i know its small but its all wat available, the tank they are going into is big enough for a few years so once there in there they should be happy.

I knew there was some sort of issue with the lion, couldn't remember what it was. Usually the angels pick on the lion, you may want to put the lion in before them, because it's going to be two against one in the DT. I would certainly add a powerhead and get some good surface agitation of the water going on in the QT to rule out low O2 in the water. Also, turn the skimmer back on, and get some more holes in the divider. I wouldn't remove the divider until they're not so stressed, the heavy breathing + fighting could = mortality for one or both fish.
So:
Hypo, More circulation (PH and holes in divider - I prefer egg crate as a divider for this reason), clean the tank, turn on the skimmer, watch and wait?

Leave the divider in, and add the powerhead. What are you using for the divider? Water can flow through this right?

its an actual tank divider with holes at about 5mm in it, the skimmer is back on, i am just about to make them abit bigger:)
yes the lion is a weird fish because he's incredibly aggresive.
i have a bucket which is about, 40g or so, i could put a filter in there and some PVC piping and stick one of the angels in there?
will it cycle if there's no LR or sand or anything?
one of my filters is a hang on so the waterfall like thing in there gives a little bit of O2 in the water.
how can i get the water clearer?

ok so i've done abit of work, found out one of my filters doesnt work, so i need to buy a new one tomorrow.
i've put two powerheads in and the surface is moving alot:)
with the water changes the water is not green anymore, but its cloudy, but i think thats just because of the powerheads been put in and stuff. so should be ok soon.
i removed the divider and the angels have shown no aggression wat so ever.
fingers crossed i wont have to put it in again because it'll screw up the powerhead positions
