I've been trying to find out about keeping these guys in a nano - say... 12 gallons?
Whadya'll think?

I thought so. I've seen some of these guys in a 20, but some can get pretty darn big!!
I want pix! Who's nutty enough to have one!!

I had one .. no picture though, sorry. just some info on it. if you buy it from the LFS, they probably feed it live goldfish (feeders) it's hard to ween them off it. i kept trying and trying, but he wouldnt except anything. so i just dumped in a feeder and yes I felt bad about it. he was amazing, he has gills behind his feet. these guys usually never get off the sand of rock. he camoflagues like a pro, he has this little antennae that he waves when he's hungry. I loved the guy.12 is too small. 30gallon would be fine.

i had one in my 20 gallon before. got it at the same place where exile got it. wouldnt eat anything but feeders. our lfs sells them for 20 bucks but then they raised it to 30 bucks. yea they are pretty cool. look seeing them eat. pretty cool of what they can do. they have gills like the round things on an airplanes wing. barely moves but they are still cool. fooled my mom for about 2 days.

People call me insane and Crazy when it comes to fish, but I had a little yellow angler in my 10 gallon tank. If you do decide to get one do not over feed them. the angler didn't move much, and i think the ten gallon tank was suitable for the size he was.

a 10 GALLON. i would also call you crazy! how big was the angler? mine was about 2 inchs and people told me i need at least a 30 gallon.

one of the LFS here in SOFL had a yellow one and a white one...they were no bigger then an 1" a piece! they were so cute! but 55$ each!!

are you guys putting anglers in reef tanks? i want one so bad but was told there not acceptable for a reef. what could they eat that i'd miss?

theyd eat whatever they can catch and fit in their not so little mouth!! But I've seen them in reefs but no small pretty fish!
