How many anglers can you fit in a 55 gallon tank?
Also is there any other fish that you can keep with an angler?
any tips on keeping anglers would be helpful!

i had an angler in my 55g alone, it was one of THE COOLIST fish ever!!! feeding time was amazing, make sure you call you friends over!! as for you question im not sure about a lion, ive heard you can keep both in the tank as long as the are very similar in size

you might be able to keep a lionfish that is much larger than then angler, but you'll have to make sure you target feed the angler because the lionfish will be a bit more adept at getting food.
I've never tried this, but I've started wondering whether you can keep a yellowtail fang blenny (aka, lyretail fang blenny, forktail blenny) with anglers and lionfish since they have venomous fangs that they use to escape being eaten. I just got one of these blennies...

Theres a shop selling a "scribbled Frogfish" and I wanted to try to find out if there is a special way to care for it. They provide information but nothing specific Though it seems far less expensive than any other frogfish I've seen for sale.

not from that pic, but if the esca (lure) looks like a worm, it's A. striatus. if it looks like a cotton ball/pom-pom, it's A. hispidus.

I'm going to go with Histrio histrio.... the Sargassum angler. There's something about the way they "perch".

They say its eating well but its only about 2-3 inches in length. Is that to small to consider buying? I will be placing it in a 5 month cycled Live sand/Base rock 33 gallon tank.
It has no fish, just some hermits, some snails and about 30 lbs of live rock its a 33 long about 4 feet in length, about 12 inches high.
I found a pic that looks alot like the one above. Its called a Striated Angler. The image pattern is almost identical
Ps. I found one of the Sargassum's that look alot like it too.. lol So I'm confused now :D

Its lure is like a worm its like two V's end to end and it wiggles it kinda like a worm. Its not a pom pom though. Another pic though still not great.
I couldn't help myself, I had to have him/it lol.
Anyway. I got it home and acclimated it for about an hour dripping. Once I let it into the tank I think it was disturbed by the power heads blowing the water around so I turned those off. I offered it a shrimp which it ate immediately but after swimming in place for about 15 mins it horked it back up.
My only concern is that he randomly decides to swim against the front of the glass. Up and down back and forth. Never really tries to hide at all.
So I thought maybe its the lights bothering it and I turned the tank lights off which made it almost immediately go to the LR and perch.
