in my 29 reef i have a constant piece of aiptasia that will not go away. i have the needle to try and inject it but i can't get to it. i try using boiling water and when i get just close enough to get him he pulls in his little hole and so i stick the needle in the hole and inject the boiling water in it but the thing still appears an hour later as if i never touched it. i have corals in there that i don't want to hurt. i can't put shrimps in there for the aiptasia cause i have a fuzzy dwarf in there. so i don't know what to do HELP

Is there any way that you can remove the piece of rock that it is living on? If you can get it out you should have an easier time of getting rid of the aiptasia.

i could, but it's at the bottom of the display of rock. if i did that then all the corals above it would have to be moved, so i'd rather not.

I have a couple in my 29g, too. One is about 1/2" now. It's new tank, only cleaning crew for now - could I add a peppermint shrimp to try that before going with chemicals?

i dont see why not, if it doesnt go for it, they are still cool to have, as long as you have nothin that will eat them (hawkfish and such)

peppermints are hit and miss. definatly worth it to try, but joes juice is not a chemical. just kinda a high calcium syrup that causes the apstasia to implode. just place a drop right on top of them and poof they are gone.
