Another algae issue

Hey guys
,
im having a bit of a problem in my system that wont go away.Most of my rocks are covered in green fuzz that just keeps coming back
,I do a wc every two weeks and my nitrates and phosphates are zero and have been that way for quite some time now.Its like no matter what i do its creeps back

any help is much appreciated

It used to be alot worse before i bought my ro/di.I use to be able to braid the hair algea that grew on my rocks

LOL...I almost think longer HA would be easier.....I get the fuzzies too, and I find it extremely hard to pull it out...I try manually daily...the short stuff

Ahahaha i kno right.Its juss so annoying cause my coralline is taking off and those stubbies wont go away so the ca can ankor to the rockwork.

Keep up with the water changes. Are you blowing the rockwork off with a turkey baster just before doing a water change?

No would that be a good idea?also i am not runnig any kind of filter pad or sock,do you recommend using filter socks?

I would recommend blowing the rock with the turkey baster just before water change. This will allow the suspended detritus to be removed during water change. I think you will be amazed at the amount of gunk that come up from the rocks, and that is what the algae is feeding on. I do run filter floss on my system to take out the suspended particles on an ongoing basis.

Don't use the wifes for turkey dinner, go out to the dollar store and get a new one to be used only for the tank.

LOL,then you could say the thanksgiving turkey was made with natural sea salt
