Another anemone feed question...sorry

Well I looked around and didn't find an answer, so I apologize if this was already posted somewhere.
My percs have paired with a green carpet (finally). At first they didn't go near it and it was HUGE! Now it's moved closer to them and they constanty occupy it.
My question: Because they are always in it, I cant feed it because they take the food away. I have also heard though that the percs will actually feed it, is that true?
Also, this anemone has never been HUGE again. They are always in it and it has shrunk to just big enough to fit the 2 clowns. Is this normal? It seems very healthy as I've had it for probably 4 months now.
Thanks all!

It is true that your clowns will feed the nem I had a gbta and my maroon fed it all the time. As for the size problem my only guess is that it might take some time for it to get used to the clowns hosting it. How long have they been hosting the nem?

Clownfish appear to be feeding their anemone however it is more a case of taking it home for later consumption. Your anemone is likley being stressed by the hosting and not expanding completely. A pair can sometimes be a bit rough on their anemone. You said you have had it for 4 months, have they just began hosting? Some people here choose not to feed their anemones, I feed at least once a week but that is up to you. I find my pair won't take the anemones food if you feed the at the same time, that keeps them occupied long enough for the anemone to consume it's meal.
