Another Basic Q

on the front of my 29g there is some salt like growth coming out from the black part of the tank that conceals the tanks seams. IS this a leak or something else?

It may be some "salt creep" if you had been working in the tank and splashed a little water on it as the water evaporates the salt expands and creeps out. Just clean the area with a dry towel and keep an eye on it for a couple of days.

thanks for replying....I cleaned it off a few days ago and the next day it was already coming back. I typically dont stick my hands in the aquarium....at least I havent in the three weeks its been cycling...so i dont know what it is?

did you dry clean it or try to wipe it off with a wet rag?

I just took my finger and knocked it off. It seems like its moving/growing up.
