another CBS question

my CBS was caught eating a hermit last night, no attack was witnessed by he is becoming suspicious. i have lost several hermits in the last few weeks mostly medium sizes, was just wondering if CBS may become preditory if not enough else in tank or if yet again he seems to be the lucky recipient of an untimely death. any opinions would be appreciated.

They are very aggressive, but I would think the CBS just took advantage of an untimely death. Are you sure it's the hermit and not his shedding? I've seen them eating scraps off of a shedding before
