Another hitchhiker.....

So I have this rock that I thought was dead but ahhh not so dead. One of my roommate saw this sucker move and then tonight I saw it move about 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Check it out I think it is some kind of clam stuck upside down to a rock.
What should I do with this thing? Knock it off the rock and reset it right side up? Maybe its not even a clam?

Leave it a lone and enjoy the diversity. Probably a clam, just a filter feeder. No harm.

True nothing wrong with this idea of leaving it be. That is where it is for the time being. If its a clam that is one thing but it could be a barnicle? something else? Just the ID thats important for my brain.
