no, most of them aren't. it's usually pretty obvious who is playing juiced.......
whenever you see a player who is average for the better part of their career and then started going crazy in the power department. this is players like Sosa, Palmeiro, and Luis Gonzalez. are were pretty mediocre during the first several years of their careers, then became all stars over night.
then you have the once decent players who suddenly get better as they get older.....like Bonds and McGwire and Sheffield.
and the common thread that runs through them is how much muscle they put on and how big their heads get.
If I had to guess, I'd say maybe at one time, 30-40% were juicing up. but that's not "most of them". players like Griffey, Pujols, Thome, Vlad, etc I don't think there's a doubt that those guys aren't using steroids. it's usually the prima donnas using.

ahhhhh, 713 just went over the wall last nite.
i dont think he'll hit 714 till either this weekend or nxt wk.
and its a shame that roids ruins star athletes. its nice to see roger clemens, a 43 year old still throwing a 100 mph fastball. much credit to hard work and an insane workout routine, right?

a-rod has to hit 27 every year for the next 10 years to catch up- thats what sportscenter was showing on saturday.
this further proves that the only advantage steroids give you is that your body can heal faster than if clean. also proves that roids dont give you the "power advantage"- you still need to make good contact with the ball.

They definitely give you a power advantage no matter what. Plenty of times you make good contact but the extra power the juice gives you will push the ball that few extra feet to get it over the wall or by a fielder. How many times this year alone so far has Barry made good contact and hit one to the warning track or just in front?? If he was in the middle of a cycle like hed normally be in the season, those balls would have been well over the fence and hed be sitting at 10 or more home runs like he has since he started juicing.

I disagree about the kid being a putz. the guy who caught #713 GAVE the ball to Bonds, and Bonds REFUSED to sign an autograph for the guy. the guy that caught #714 said Bonds wasn't getting the ball......and I don't blame him for it. maybe he's a true baseball fan and doesn't like the way Bonds and his ilk have ruined the game.

I agree, why do players now think it's their right to have the ball back? Isn't the whole selling point of going to a mlb game that you may catch a ball? For someone who makes $15 million at least AND is a rude, racist jerk to expect fans to give him the ball is insane. If it was me, i'd be asking for a large check and a signed jersey from every athlete i like from every sport.

i know if i busted my hump and smacked 714, i would love to have the ball to put into my personal collection, but i can see where its more important for the fan to have it.
i guess its because in this sport, the ball is expected to go over the wall to the fans, unlike the other 3 where the ball/puck is kept on the playing surface.
and i have to take back the putz comment- my mind was wandering while i was typing.
he should take the ball, put it in a shadow box, and hang it somewhere- he caught a piece of history.
now if he threw the ball back onto the field, that would have been absolutly disgraceful.
they throw them back at wrigley- if im correct, thats been a tradition since before most of us were born.
to do it elsewhere is just not acceptable.

It would be nice if the people who get 714 and 715 were rich, racist as**oles like Bonds is. Would love for them to say screw the money and destroy the balls just to spite him!
It really is amazing his arrogance. No other player in any sport would stand to be called a CHEATER. Yet he goes out everyday to thousands of people holding signs and yelling CHEATER. Is there anything more insulting, disgraceful or inflammatory to call an athlete??? Any other athlete would freak and scream to anyone who would listen and provide proof that he isnt cheating.. Not Bonds, he doesn't care. He knows it will never be proven and that enough people will kiss his a** because of who he is. It will be funny to see him become the first person, in any sport, to be booed at his induction to the Hall of Fame(if he's even voted in).

is he getting paid to listen to the fans or play baseball?
dont listen to the boos, dont fight with the fans, just go out and do what your getting paid for: playing baseball

It's not boo's its being called a cheater!
No other athlete in history would stand for being called a cheater publicly. That is the worst possible thing to call an athlete. It's one thing not to respond at the stadium but to remain silent in the media only proves his guilt more.

innocent until proven guilty
he doesnt have to say anything.
why defend yourself if you didnt do it?
if you did do it and you get caught, then you deserve what's comin to you.

Bonds isn't "innocent until proven guilty".....he testiified before a federal grand jury that he used performance enhancing drugs.

Pujols has always been big. He may be juiced but who knows. He didnt suddenly gain 30 pounds of muscle at 35 as soon as he started training with steroid dealers and testify under oath that he took designer steroids.

then why are they talking about perjury charges?
ok then- he's guilty then
still cant deny his ability, though
and, a guy at his age, i could see why he would take the roids- gotta try to keep up with the kids these days.
