I just picked up a candy cane with about 10 heads on it. With my lights I run just about 368w T5's. will it be O.K. to have them up high I have good flow but it's not blowing right on them. Also I have a rock with about 100 zoo polpys on it is that O.K. to have up high? And last I have a piece of moon coral that had a few dead spots on it. I put that up about middle of the tank. Please tell me what you all think about this placement of these corals. Thank-you for your time and most of all your feed back. James.

I run T5's on my 55 and have a trumpet coral up high, pretty much the same coral, and it does quite well. As for zoas, I have a couple of sweet rocks with a lot of them on it and I keep them on the bottom of the tank. While some of my polyps have broken loose, traveled around the tank, and then settled down when they found a good spot, thay always seem to settle down in the lower third of my tank, never up high. Don't know about the moon coral-never had one.

it should be fine. i hv my trumpets at the bottom, middle and on top under t5, and they all r doing just fine. trumpet isnt a very difficult corals as long as ur water parameters r correct.

if u hv t5 or mh, frogspawn will do fine near bottom. gotta rememeber though lighting is just one of many factors when keeping corals.
