I have a 55 gallon that I have had up for almost 2 years. It is a FOWLR. Its doing great but I decided to try my hand at corals. I am going small for now so I got a 8 gallon Bio Cube and everything is up and running and all my perimeters are great as far as Nitrates, PH, amonia, etc. The cycle is complete and its ready. I used live sand and have about 7 pouns of LR in it. So, all that being said here is my questions. Besides the regular perimeters what all has to be tested for? The guy at MLFS has a nice coral tank and he told me all he tested for was calcium. I am thinking there is more. I need to know the essential that I need in my water and what do I need to test for. Please help all you can.
Thanks,
Mark

Well, it depends on what you plan to keep in the cube. If you are going to keep mostly soft corals, then you pretty much just need to keep the water in top shape. What about lighting?

The lighting is just the PC lighting. I am not goin to do in hard-to-do corals. Some suggestions on some good corals to put in a lil ol cube that only really need light?

Be careful nanos are alot harder to take care of than larger tanks.
A littel evap can throw off parameters a lot. PH swings are more evident. Keep a look out, things can change by the minute.
