Does anyone have Anthias with Cleaner Shrimp? I would like to get one male Lyretail Anthias and two female Lyretail Anthias for my 125 gallon reef tank, BUT I have two common cleaner shrimp. Bad idea? The shrimp are pretty large, over 2".

:cheer: Then maybe I'll give it a try and just watch them closely. I love my shrimp, but I want some anthias, they are so pretty.

I had the same question as you, I wanted 1 male lyretail and 2 females but didn't want my beloved cleaner shrimp murdered. I have had them now for a little over a week and no problems. The male loves to be cleaned by the shrimp!! Just keep them fed several times a day and you shouldn't have any worries! P.S. They absolutely love to eat fish eggs!! Your lfs should have them in their freezer. They are absolutely beautiful, you will be happy you got them.

Great to hear! Thanks for the tip.
I still have to get a few other fish before my Anthias, but I'm glad it looks like I can do what I had planned.

I have a male and 3 female lyretail anthias and they frequently share the same den as my fire shrimp. He comes out for feeding ect and they never bother it.
