I was wondering if it would be possible to keep a couple of bartletts anthias in a 25 gal. The bioload would not be the problem as the only other residents in the tank so far are 5 snails and a fire shrimp. I saw a couple of bartletts anthias in my lfs and fell in love. what can I say? would they be happy fishies???

I think u need a 75 gal or bigger for these fish, go to the u build it section and click on the fish for info.

I looked in the u-build-it section and all they had was the purple queen anthias, and no information on proper tank size for them. I know for a fact that you can house a single dispar anthia in a 25 gal. tank, and it grows larger than the bartlett's anthia. I researched the bartlett's, but didn't find much.

I personally wouldn't try it. Anthias are to active for a small tank. More like a 55 would be better. Not to mention Anthias need to be fed more often due to their metabolism so you have a greater chance of polluting a smaller tank with that in mind. Just make sure you ahve a proper cleanup crew with anthias...
