anthias question

I think I've read on here before that anthias need to be fed several times daily. Is this correct?

Yes...preferably 3-4 times per day. However, I noticed in another thread you were looking at Purple Queens. These are THE hardest of the anthias to keep. They almost never last longer that 2 weeks in the average aquarium. Look into some Bartlett Anthias. They're just as pretty, IMO, stay smaller, and only need to be fed 2 times per day, instead of 4.

I have Layetail now for 5 years and always feed my tank mainly every other day. Had a Squaresopt for 4 years on the same schedual befor I sold it.

I've had my pair of anthias(pink bar) for 6 months now. When they were little(2 1/2"), I fed them twice a day and maybe a little flake for lunch three times a week. Now they're about 4" and I feed them along w/ the whole tank once a day and flake twice a week. I feed them chopped clam, shrimp, and mysis first, then the rest of the tank. I try to give them the biggest chunks along w/ the sailfin because they're the "Big Guys" of the reef.
