150 gal tank, LR unlimited budget.
What is the best way to aquascape. Any pictures of yours if you like the design.
Thanks,
Rex

My lfs has a 180 gal reef tank, and the owner made the aquascapoing look like if the live rock was an island in the middle of the tank without touching the acrylic and the fish would swim around the corals and rock. really cool you could see the tank from bothsides clearly.

post where you live , i bet you can get a lot of response from your area about where to go look.
There are also a lot of beautiful pictures posted here.
There was also a post here few weeks ago with a similar question int the new section about rock placement.
This person described that they drew out what looked good to them and then made it happen.
Personally on a 45 gallon corner tank it took me about 2hrs to place the rock where i thought looked good, and now I am keeping my eyes peeled at the LFS for specific shaped pieces of rock to finish the base i started.
This pic is from when cycling i dont have current pic
Good Luck

have fun with it and make sure its sturdy and wont get knocked over by big fish, eels, etc. if you already have fish or inverts it makes it really hard but if youre just now aquascaping then you have all day to rearrange and make it something you like.
i dont recommened epoxy or glue, simply because you will probably rearrange sooner or later. we just rearranged and now have a little cove-like structure that is semi-circular and then a big built up reef full of nooks and crannies on the right. it is very porous to leave room for fish to swim. cave-like things are good to for fish to sleep in, but make a lot of em or they may fight ove the nice properties :) its good to try not to build up against the glass so the fish can swim entirely all around the structure.
look for lots of pictures on here and in books, youll get tons of ideas!! good luck! :)

If I had it to do over again, I would drill holes so I could connect rocks to make a vertical structure.... I have seen a few, wow.
Also, I would make a PVC framework so I could use less rock and keep it off of the sandbed for the most part.
One more thing, for a tank that big I would think about using either milk containers ( the plastic crate thing ) or cinder blocks for a base......once again to save money.
Just make sure you fully cure the cinder blocks in fresh water.....
