So I am in the College of Education at Florida State University, majoring in secondary social science education. For my reading and content literacy class, we are broken up into small groups and we must pick a discussion book that relates to our subject area. In my group, there are social science and math people. The book must be appropriate for middle and/or high school students. Can anyone think of a book or point me in the right direction of a book that deals with both social studies and math? I have looked at both "Number the Stars" and "The Devil's Arithmetic", but other than the name, these books do not seem to relate to math. Thanks in advance for any advice!
