Any Chance of Paring Clownfish

I had a mated pair of Black Clownfish that were laying eggs every couple of weeks for 2 months when all of a sudden the male showed up dead. Not sure if it is a coincidence or not but this happened just after I introduced a slate where they had been laying eggs so that she would leave the eggs on the slate rather than the side of the aquarium.

Is there any point in buying another clown and introducing into the tank or is the female going to just kill the new fish? Thoughts?

Ocellaris females usually will quickly bond to a replacement. I would recommend adding a very young Clownfish to ensure it isn't a female.
