As far as those cubans....ahhh I don't know. I have a source and I get them cheap, about 1/3 of that places cost. Not to mention that if they get confiscated by customs, you still pay. My favorite cigar is not even a cuban, so it's hard for me to see spending that much. I really like these as well, they are my favorite, but a bit thick for most peoples tastes. Also anything by drew estates is pretty good.

Sorry tangman, yeah it was suppose to take you to the mayorga's. HAnds down, somebody offers me those or a cohiba the cohiba gets shot down. It's a good full flavored cigar, the kind were no chic is going to kiss you after smoking it unless you use a lot of listerine first

Right now my humidor carries a box of each of the following:
H. Upmann Monarchs (great for a long smoke, BBQ, pool hall)
Punch Royal Coronation maduros (great for a short smoke, good for my friends who don't smoke much, nice change)
and my current favorite: La Flor Domincana Double Ligeros (very heavy flavor, very robust, great for an extended smoke, wouldn't advise them for new smokers, they can get a bit tough on the draw and a bit hot at the end if smoked too hastily)
Other than that, I'll rotate a few other brands through the humidor every month or so. Girlfriend will smoke a Macanudo once in a while, I used to smoke Macanudo Robustos and Maduros, but stopped when my local tobacconist changes prices on them.
Also will puff on an Onyx or Don Diego Players Club once in a while, pleasant change up.

Cohibas are Cuban! run from around 300 - 350.00 a box of 25, I have a friend whom just picked me up a box while visiting his old man!

Be careful, not all Cohibas are Cuba. The brand also manufactures cigars with tobacco from other countries, thus making it eligible for sale in the US. They take cuban seeds and plant them in other countries to make Cohiba cigars for American distribution. I brought some Cuban Cohibas back from business trip to Canada, they are much different than the Cohibas you buy in the States, which are overpriced and even sold in my grocery store's humidor.
Either way, Cohibas are ALWAYS overpriced, that's what you get for brand recognition. There are Dominican cigars for $6.00 that taste better than most Cubans, and there are Cuban cigars that definitely taste better than Cohibas for about half of the Cohiba's $12.00 price tag.

You are correct,
Though I hope you don't mind if I smoke my last one! I don't know one cigar from the other, except for the fact that one of my working buddies is from cuba! He busted out a half a box and was selling them on the boat, I never seen seen or heard or thought of one untill that moment!

He also said the cigar went up in price, and their were far better and less expensive,and did bring back a box of twenty five! Don't know what they are yet, havn't went and picked them up! But thanks for reminding me!

I smoke the High Octanes, I believe they are a Costa Rican maduro rap. They guy that owns the mayorga stuff also owns a bunch of expensive coffee companies, so he mixes a little bit of different spices in there...not fruity or anything like that..it's a nice stong cigar. Here this is from Cigar afficienado, they give it a 94 by the way.
"The Mayorga is a choice blend of Nicaraguan binder and filler grown from select Cuban seed bound by Indonesian wrapper grown from Sumatra seed"
