Sounds like your outlets are all connected together on same line.
Get this - in my home on the 2nd floor EVRYTHING is connected to one line.
I have our bedroom, bath #2, and my son's room. Oh yeah and an exhaust fan as well. Gonna get the wirings separated from exhaust fan to by itself, our room & son's room separated from bath #2 ... shouldn't be too hard to do. But gonna call electrician to do that instead.

make sure he installs a gfi plug also get a $5 circuit tester with the lights on it.$50 bucks is really cheap make sure he does it right.I have had to repair other peoples work that tried to do wiring like using a ground wire in a switch box because the was no neutral there.

So electrician came to install the outlet, BUT it turns out there is a cynderblock wall directly behind the drywall which means no outlet.
GREAT!

thats no excuse...i have a cinder block wall behind my sheet rock also i chiseled some out and used a shallow 1 gang box.... find yourself a better electrician...

another electrician is probably way more money, he said he will be able to install this thing that covers the wires but it will be on the wall rather then inside.
