Any Hardy Tangs with Triggers?

I was just wondering if any tough tangs could be kept with triggers? Obviously the tang would be larger than the triggers. Are there any tangs which aren't so frail or prone to getting ick?

The purple one is about the best choice--depends too on tank size and what kind of trigger

The Purple tang would be a nice choice, but aren't aggressive. I would go w/ a sohal. Aggressive (the most out of all tangs) and really hardy.

Are sohals - yellow tangs? I was going to say yellows are the most aggresive I know of.
In college I had a Kole tang with a Huma Huma. There was the occasional stand off with the tang threatening to stab the trigger, but nothing more.
The kole did go 'Julius Ceasar' on my Raccoon Butterfly though. Gameover butterfly. <img src="graemlins//dead.gif" border="0" alt="[dead]" />

Maybe a Naso Tang? Those are pretty big,or get that way, right? And would do fine if in a larger tank, dont know too much about them, but theyre real cool looking! :)

Wouldnt you be able to put a good size sailfin tang in the tank? I think they'd be able to hold there own.

I have kept hippo tangs and yellow tangs with triggers, i would suggest introducing the tangs well in advance of the triggers so that they feel tgey are kings of the tank, when the triggers come in the tangs will hold their own. mine have coexisted quite nicely.

i think a Vlamingi tang would do good with triggers they get good size and know how to stand there own ground.. Plus they are very attractive especially when they change into there adult form.

There's the key--not so much which tang, but size and placement--if big enough and had enough time to establish itself in your tank before trigger came in-most any tang will work.
(naso's are very fun, hardy fish )
Good Luck
