Any hope for this shroom?

I was given this blue shroom a week ago. It didn't look very happy when I got it, and since it wasn't attached to anything, it's spent the past week in a bridal veil cage, which I'm sure thrilled it to no end, but did manage to attach to some small rubble. When I took it out, I thought it may have been dead, but then it started to slime, so I figured it was still alive (unless they produce post-mortem slime?) and glued it to a rock. Now that I look at it closely under bright light, I'm wondering if this little guy will recover, or is he a goner?

Mush dont need bright light, that can actually harm them if too strong. I bet its fine just slow to adjust. Not hurtnig anything leaving it in the tank just see what happens in another week.

Can they still recover when their innards are hanging outwards?

they are very durable. If it dies it will decay very very quickly. Matter of hoursmost times. So if its in one piece and not falling apart then I would be patient

yes, they can. He may even look normal in a couple hours. give it some time.

Ten minutes after I switched off the 10,000K and left on just the actinics, he managed to suck his guts back in. Still looks kinda shriveled, but looks healthier than he did when that pic was taken!
