I have had this little anenome in my tank for atleast 3 years. It normally comes out at night, but it was out today when doing a water change. It is about 5/8" across, and yes it is purplish in color. About 2 years ago, I woke up one morning to find a mandarin stuck halfways inside it. Needless to say, I no longer have the mandarin.
