hmm I needa check out south shore tropics, how is it compared to the other 2? I like country critters just to look but way too marked up IMO. Try Aqua Hut out in coram. Their prices are diiiirrtt cheap. Not always the best selection but when they get in shipments pretty much every fish in the store theyll give you for under 30 bucks.

Nice puffer nice price. Thats not a mappa though its a stelletus. Regardless though a beautiful fish!

Country Critters is the single most overpriced shop that I've ever seen on LI. Pets Warehouse is great. I went to school (and my Jr. Prom) with the owners wife. Aqua Hut in Coram is my favorite place though. The owner Don really knows his stuff and most of his employees are really great as well.

+1 on Country Critters. I guess if you really need something rare though thtats the place to go. I just go once in a while to look haha.
I've been loyal to aqua hut for a while but I dont think they have the healthiest of fish really. I can never get help from the bald guy either even though I spend hundreds there, wont even say hi back to me

. When they get a shipment in you can sometimes find a healthy fish for really cheap though which is nice.
Pets warehous is probably my favorite now. The bald guy with the white beard that works there is incredibly nice and always helps me out and gives me his honest opinions. They usually have a good selection too and pretty good prices. I always get a little freebie or a few bucks off too whenever I go.

Not sure who the bald guy at AH us, but Don, the older guy with grey hair and Tony, the younger guy with the long brown pony tail are both great. Tony is a friend of mine and has his own business importing fish and the store buys a lot of stock from him.

The bald guy with the white beard at pets ware house is Andy,he's a great guy.I feed my puffers krill,prawn,jumbo shrimp(cut up of course),jumbo mysis,clams, squid,mussels,crab-shell on,and once in a while a few frozen corn kernals from the frozen foods section.

my black dogface is about 6 inches,the star is 3 and a half inches and the map is a lil over 2 inches,and they all eat like pigs
