Be sure your rock structure is solid, they will burrow under them making them unstable. They are not aggressive and are carnivores.

they get big, real big. i saw one at my LFS that was several years old, I thought it was a good sized tessalated moray at first until I got a look at the head.

Ive had one for a couple of months now. Hes really cool and I would never get rid of him but he causes massive destruction on my tank! JK, but no really my rockwork was not totally stable under the sandbed level until after I had this guy awhile.He does dig under most of the rocks in my tank and moves sand all over the place & I have a 4" DSB.....kinda gets messy sometimes.He has caused a couple avalanches! He is growing much faster then any of my other fish too. Like I said I like the fish a ton & would reccomend one to anyone just be prepared for avalanches if your rocks are not secured on the bottom of your tank on the glass, under the sand 100%.
