Caught my goby
found a easy way to catch he using a $2 plastic container I got from America's favorite superstore I put the container in the tank with the lid open and a piece of live rock inside then put food in the container after a few minutes he swam right in and I was able to close the lid and remove him ,he was still eating when I transferred him so no stress...

i've heard alot of people having success with a clear 2 liter bottle. take the bottle and cut the top off like a funnel, then invert the funnel back into the other piece of the bottle and glue in place. put some food in there and put it in the tank overnight. for some reason fish can find their way in these things, but not out.
the trouble is, you might catch the wrong fish...if so, repeat the process until you got him.

Question: Mr.X
If you "glue" the inverted top into the 2 liter bottle, how do you get the fish out?

I tried just forcing it into the bottom so I could remove it and use the bottle over again. ( I know ,what a cheapskate!)
Then I use a vegitable clip to position it where I want.

Great idea. I have two tangs that I need to move from my 75 to my new 125 and I have not figured out how to get catch them yet, they are way too fast. I'll give this a try.

My yellow tang swam into the container twice before I had caught my goby

I found that using a container with a hinged lid works great ,the lid tends to "float" in a vertical position which makes it easy close the lid when the fish swims in and less stress for the fish and me
