any one know????

so i have a 29 full set up lights stand and stuff collecting dust it was a old tank that had a leak i up sized and just picked up a new 29 for free that has no leaks. i was thinking of trying a natural set up. i learned about from a diffrent post. tampa live rock type set up. of course ill get my stuff from swf.com. has any one ever grown a reef from just live sand and rock and such? any input would be cool. thanx

You mean just buy some really nice live rock and sand and let it sit and grow? Sounds dull imo...
Never heard of anyone doing that.

I've looked at tampa bay rock....it does state that it comes with a lot of stuff, but IMO I think you would want to add more....BUT it can be a good start...(it's expensive too)

i looked at some of the pic's and such. i have my doubts about what you end up with and whats been added. small tanks end up driving me nuts any way with the limits and such. i'm going to play nice to the wife and try to add a 180 in the basement family room....wish me luch ill use the 29 for a fuge or a turf scrubber or i dunno
