So i'm looking at the tank and see this mass of sand moving... Ok, no big deal, snail, whatever. But then this draws my attention to a small bit of a tube that looks like it's protruding about 1/16th of an inch with like 10-15 little feelers coming out grabing onto stuff (mostly sand) and at the opening of this tube there is something moving around... Any ideas? I can't get any picture, its so small, and the feelers are clear.
Thanks,
Gator

The moving mass of sand has been confirmed as a snail. The tube like structure is unrelated, but still puzzling.

some sort of tube worm perhaps? try doing a search for that and see if it turns up anything similar. Does it look feather duster like only that the ends are sifting the sand? Or does it look totally different? Does the tube part look soft or hard? could it be a feather duster that got burried under the sand and is trying to get out?

spaghetti worms... Hmm. So what'da they do?? :) Do they eat detritus? They build hard, little tubes.. I've found a few that look like they've been 'unearthed' and broken off..
Thanks for the ID,
Gator
