any one use this in a reef tank

It is soft and stuck on there you can scrub the rock with a brush to get it. But it grows back.

The more I look at it, the more I'm thinking it could be turf algae. If it is, it's beneficial to your tank - And it's really natural part of your filtration. I wouldn't worry about it. :D
