I have been looking for a good website or message board to get some of my questions.....like I have 2 males and one female....my creamsicle male and normal colored female seem to always be together does this mean they are pairing up? And our snow is all by himself.....should we consider getting a female friend for him too???? I dunno I just needa lil advise so if any of you happen to know any good sites, please share!!!!! When i was a kid I kept every animal I could find, which included two beautiful corn snakes. They were in the same tank for years and one day... boom they started doing this wild mating dance (you will not be able to mistake this for anything else), and I ended up with some eggs and about 10 babies. It was really neat. I don't think I did anything special to get them to mate, but it was summer. I don't think snakes form "pairs" in the wild, so I wouldn't expect you to see them pairing up out of breeding season or as juveniles. Good luck when the time comes, though.

I have always liked snakes. I use to catch them and put them in my barbie case. We dont have any as pets, my husband cant handle them. (as in he dosent like them).

I left the pics big b/c the snakes are small......Blaze is the creamsicle and we havent figures out a name for the princess yet...so I call her princess for now

Well all I can do is share my experience with snakes. I love snakes they are my fav animal by far. I have had collections of over 50 snakes at three different times in my life, and that did not count when eggs were hatching. Snakes are not social animals the only time snakes get together in the wild are during breeding season, and some species of rattle snakes during the colder months form "dens" were many will inhabit the same "cave " during winter then seperate when things warm up, in South America durring the breeding season several male Anacondas will try and mate with 1 female , so you end up with a huge mass of Anaconda. In the South you may cruze down a river in your boat and notice several Water Mocasins catching some sun along the bank near each other. And some species of Garter snakes form "dens" in the winter similar to rattle snakes.
Snakes get up in the morning catch ssome sun to warm up and then are on the look out for food. I have made this mistake once in my life and I will never do it again. I had a Albino San Diego Gopher Snake, and because of lack of space I put it in with a Western Hog Nosed Snake, until I could come up with a another encloser. I would seperate them to feed them, and then put them back together. Well one time the Hog Nosed Snake could still smell the mouse sent on the Gopher Snake and ate him. I came back to find no Gopher Snake but a very fat Hog Nosed Snake. plus If one snake gets a disease he can pass it on to another. Check out www.Kingsnake.com they have a plethera of forums. So my advice to you is to seperate your snakes they will be better off in the long run. They dont need/like buddies, to them its just competion for the best hot spot/food/shelter etc.. Sorry for the long paragraphs.

i have 2 corns that i plan on mating, 1 female 150 grams, regular corn, 40 inches or so, and 1 male 450 grams ghost corn about 57 inches,
a good site to go to is "www.cornsnakes.com" it's a forum just like this... but all about corn snakes.
just so you know, corns need to be at least 300 grams to breed safely, if they are underweight and get pregnant it'll just die., thats also not a creamsicle, it's just an albino, creamsicles have no red, if you can see the yellowish orange in between the red, creamsicles are white with that colored spots, the corn on top of him/her is a ghost corn snake, regular corn snakes are a dark orange with dark red spots, if i can ever figure out pictures i will post some of mine, my avatar is my ghost corn "Boo"
corns should not live together due to their highly competitive nature, it's fine while they are young, but when one gains a slight weight superiority, it can do things such as "gaurding" the water bowl in oder to kill the other. when breeding, the female needs to not eat for 3 months so all traces of left over food is wiped clean, if it becomes pregnant it's digestive system shuts down in order to conserve energy and the food may rot inside of the snake, and a decrease in temperature of at least 10 degrees, and then suddenly introduced to the male after it's 3 month fast.

They are very cute but yeah, I'd agree on seperating them, when I was about 15 i was working at a pet store and somebody brought in a pair of black rat snakes (very simmilar to corns) that had lived together for years. All was well and good until one day someone fed them in the same cage (dumb) and I came in to several inches of the smaller male going down the larger female's gullet, they were pulled apart (dangerous for both - but he wasn't that much smaller than her, niether would have made it) I know the issue here is that they both went for the same mouse but, really, if they had been fed seperately and he came back Smelling of mouse and she was still hungry it would have happened anyhow. Snakes are quite instinctive when they feed, and cannibalism is not uncommon when housed together.
My husband and I have 6 ball pythons (3 regular, 2 pastel and a spider) and a reverse okeetee albino corn. I love how enthusiastic the corn is at feeding time, she's always poking out of her hidebox first!
Have fun with your new corns!

We love snakes here too. In past years we've had a ribbon snake and a beautiful corn snake similar in color to 'the princess' of pic's above. The only issue was when the gerbil had babies and someone suggested feeding them to the snake. We do NOT feed one pet to another!!!!
