Any Star Wars Fanatics Here?

Whats your take on the "Clone Wars"? I Hope its good but I have some reservations. Did they have to make it so CARTOONEY? Almost like Lego Star Wars! Why couldn't they at least make it Darker like a HBO SPAWN or MTV SPIDERMAN?

I wached the original clone wars when they aired it in 5-minute segments on adult swim and that one was great. I'd suggest renting that one and checking it out before going to see the new one.

Is the one that is being released now totally new or are they releasing the one that was on TV a few years ago? I have that one on DVD and it is great.

There are actually two volumes . I believe the first volume was the shorter snipits between shows . The second volume is the continuation and the segments are a bit longer . Something like 15 minutes or so . Its been a while since I watched them .
If you really want to see the darker side of the SW universe I sugest the books . There is so much more of a darkness to the storys .
I am anxious to see the new clone wars cartoon . I'm not going in with grad expectations of the greatest story . Just a continuation of the story .

I wish they would have stuck with the animation they esued for the cartoon network run. I'm not impressed with the look of this new version.

Well who else went and saw it ?
I thought it was ok . Not as good as it could have been . But none the less It was good enough . It started out kinda slow with an actual plot But the "action" is there to feed the need . AS long as your not expecting a whole lot then you'll like it . Its pretty much on par with star wars .

It would have been had I not expected it to be a "complete and utter dissapointment" . But that being said it lived up to my dreams of what it would be .

As a 39yr old man and seeing Staw Wars on the BIG SCEEN as a little 9yr old boy, It was definitely a life changing experience for me at that point!

The thing is with star wars going in you know its not going to be a great story line . But if you accept it for what it is and enjoy it for just being a cheese movie .
