any suggestions on what to choose from my lfs

i got a 40 with 2 clowns(fish only) and want to move up in the world. kinda want a decent predator tank with the little room i have until i can get bigger tank in about 3-4 months...
so if you guys can lead me in the right direction it would be great. thanks
they have:
7 inch blue koran angel
6 inch spanish hogfish
6 inch snowflake eel
5 inch stripped dogface
5 inch (up and down) yellow tang
4-5 inch volitan lionfish
4-5 inch green bird wrasse
3 inch humu humu tang
3 inch valentini puffer
and heres my tank

i have live rock that i just took out...
i want it more open..
il take a pic tomoro of the tank im mimicking at my lfs
i dont really like the idea of a lot of liverock

besides looking more natural the liverock is for filtration the plastic decoration will not help your tank and your tank is too small for most of those fish.

sweet is absolutely correct. In a 40 gal. one needs about40-65 lbs. of LR. Very important resourse that plastic plants cannot give you. Besides being an excellant filter it provides all fish with a plethera of small creatures to eat.

i plan on getting a bigger tank up and running in Jan.
does that give me enough time to have those fish in the 40 then transfer into a (looking into getting a 150ish)

i will have a pic of the tank im shooting for tomoro...
it has no live rock and its a 75 gal fish only
i extracted lots of lr and most likely killed it.
2 days out of water and am now thinking WTF did i do?

Assuming you are going to upgrade your tank sooner, I would really get a spanish hog. Just as long it is a good looking one. I've seen some really ugly ones while some are really nice. Adds a lot of color, generally peaceful, and very hardy. mine survived a wipeout that killed everything but a lionfish and some damsels. have you considered a flame angel?

no i havent looked into one but i will tonight...
i have this fish store i go to in R.I.(1 hour away) that has great workers and a great selection but i plan on a new tank anytime from dec-feb bout 150g i look into the flame angel. thanks h*
