Would like a tang but everything I know about them they all need larger than a 55 gal tank. Are there any out there that would be happy and healthy in a 55 Gal.?

Try a kole tang or a Tomini Tang they are usually stay small but only get one or the other not both, jmo.

theres not really any tangs that could qualify as "dwarf" tangs, you could always just UPGRADE,,, (it always leads to that in the end anyways)

Upgrading for me right now is a sump probably next week. The checkbook (aka The Wife) wont allow me the 125 gal I'm wanting. Christmas is how many days away?

For the Wife. She wants a yellow tang but I keep telling her it wont be happy and will outgrow the tank, so I figured if another tang would work it would make her happy and if she is happy= me happy.

yeah, there is no tang that will do okay in a 55 gallon. They swim WAY too much to be in that small of a tank, and will quickly outgrow that size tank
