Another cold winter evening, and I am making a big pot, about 1.5 gallons, of soup. Working on the soup, and cleaning the fish tank (yes I wash my hands afterwards!), is a nice relaxing way to spend a Saturday night!
This pot will be a cream of chicken and potato soup and I will have a big bowl when it's done in about another hour, and then eat it all over the next few days. Of course, I have to give some to the dog who like most dogs will eat almost anything, but she seems to really like my soup.
What I like about making soup at home is that after a day or so of chilling and mellowing in the fridge, it tastes even better than the day I made it!
My office manager (21) gets a big kick out of her boss (me, 55) cooking all the time but I tell her, until I can buy soup and other food items that taste as good as I can make them, then I will keep on cooking!
