Anybody got some sure-fire ways to get rid of moles?

I have moles again wrecking my place and so far the best option for getting rid of them seems to be the old 12 gauge when I catch them working. I don't want to use poison since the chance of a poisoned mole coming to the surface to die and having one of my dogs eat it is probably 100% percent.
So far I have tried both the spike style trap and the clamp style in the ground trap with only occasional results and the stuff you sprinkle on the ground to get rid of them does not seem to work very well either. I have also tried smoking them out and that does not seem to work either although it does seem to work with gophers.
Anybody else have some better ways to get rid of moles? I woke up this morning and my yard is a freaking mess....again.

They must be going crazy this year...I have a bunch too.....too many for my outside cat to keep up with apparently

The other day the dogs had one trapped......I was scared it would bite them so I actually let it get away as I got my dogs away from it
If you find a good...NON-poisonous solution...let me know too

Snakes eat them don't they, maybe release some corn snakes around the area.

I've tried it all in an effort to save my lawn. The only thing that works is having a cat around...
The stakes that vibrate do work a little, but not nearly as well as a little hunter cat.

They do make traps for moles and gophers.
But do the really work?
I accidentally squished a baby mole once. I lived in a a basement apartment that had a patio (pretty much a concrete slab with cinder blocks that went about 6 feet high to meet the ground level) with a drain in the center. I went to see what was scurrying on the patio and I saw it freaked out and jumped up and landed on the mole.

Here is what an old Maintance guy did. He took Propane pumped it into the hole then LIT IT. Yes made a Boom but killed every last mole there was.

LOL, I have done that also and I made a big boom too, decided that is not a good route to go and the propane burns for a looooong time down in the ground. Woke up this morning to another huge hill, I swear one of these moles is the size of a cat. Tomorrow I am taking my lawn chair, paperback and my 12 gauge and just camping out and waiting. These things have me at my last nerve.

JRT - Jack Russel Terrier - solved all my mole problems
My neighbor alsoput some lit sulfur sticks in their tunnels and worked pretty good.
