IME (that's experience, not opinion), mixing lamp lengths causes the shorter lamps to suffer significantly degraded life. I had a setup where I was using (2) 4' lamps and (2) 3' lamps, and my 3' lamps I was replacing every month or so until I got pissed and just abandoned the 3' lamps.
If you are doing something temporarily, fine, but I'd try to use 4 lamps of the same length. Mixing lamps of the same length of different wattages seems to be fine. In another setup, I have run (2) 4' 110w VHO and (2) 4' 40w lamps (overdriven) and all have worked fine for their full expected life.
Don't get me wrong, Icecap swears it will work, at least that's what Andy told me, but I tried two different ballasts and I am sure my wiring was correct, and that's what I experienced.
