I found this sight called freecycle dot org, and there is a "group" in every major city. The purpose of freecycle is to give your stuff away when you no longer want it, but it's still to nice to throw away. Anyway, I JUST found it and have already given away a medicine cabinet, an over the range microwave, a mac laptop, and a bag of my 3 year olds old clothes... Oh yeah, and a wooden knife block. People who need it, could use it, or could fix it request it and you decide who to give it to.
There are also "wanted" posts, and if you have what they want and your not using it, then you respond and they come get it. So far it's been very positive.
If you got stuff to get rid of, you might wanna check it out...

Just as a sidenote, it's great to give things away and there are a lot of easy places for you to do so, such as big brothers/big sisters, salvation army, and any shelters or women's shelters in your area.

Garnet and Tang,
Oh and Tangman...

But I agree with the Good will and Salvation Army etc... Goodwill gives blank reciepts so I get the awesome write off as well, but I couldn't see making a special trip to the good will to drop off a wooden knife block. I had it hovering over the trash when I thought of FC, and some lady with a 2 year old who could just now reach the drawers wanted it.
I usually freecycle what I was goning to pitch anyway.
It's not junk it's just that I'm to lazy to take one single thing to Goodwill... So if somebody wants it.... then they come to me....
Cept you Tang, I'll be in Fla when the time is right...wink. :happyfish
