Anybody tried a product called Nitrex?

I've been on this site before about my high Nitrates. I pretty much gather that I need more LS. Anyway in the meantime, has anyone tried a product called Nitrex? The LFS here said it was "just the thing" to have to bring down my nitrates.

I have never tried it but I know its better to add as few chemicals as possible. Try more LR instead of LS. I think LS is a waste of money main reason being that your LR will make your sand live in a matter of months anyways.

water change, water change is what keeps the nitrates, etc. down. you can try adding nitrate sponge which is an aggregate that you put in a sack in your filter. it lasts 3-6 months and works pretty well. I use it for that just in case increase in nitrates.

forget the nitrate reducing additives, and what is your nitrate reading anyhow?
how much lr/s do you have, and or a skimmer?
what size tank, and what livestock is in it?
how often and how much do you do water changes?
also what filters do you have attached?
and last how old is your tank?
