Anyone ever been to Atlantis in the Bahamas?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever been to the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas on Paradise Island? They have the largest aquarium in the world. I went there last summer and they had the most amazing things in there tanks. I can't remember how many thousands on gallons it is, but you would have to see it to beleive it. It you are into reefs and fish you should try to make it there once in your life. I just thought of this after someone in another post mentioned a guy in Hawaii who made a wall in his house connect with the ocean and that is similar to how they have part of the aquarium set up there.

The diving is great there! Me and my girlfriend did three dives and we wanted to do one more but didn't have the time. We did one wall dive, one by a downed plane, and another by this gigiantic anchor. The cliff was pretty crazy! I hear the shark dive is incredible, but that is the one we missed out on.

I went for thanksgiving two years ago - the tanks are amazing . The place is awesome, if you are spending time chating on this board - this is the ultimate vacation spot for you. In addition to all kinds of displays that are gigantic - they have a shark tank that has a glass tube in it. You slide through it when you go on the water slide or on a raft ride.
A definite vacation destination for the aquarium enthusiast.

i have been to the bahama about 20 times when i was in the Navy.. use to be a seal, and loved when we had a training mission down there, because i knew i was going in the water.. man it was great

I've been there once. Amazing!!! That was when i wasnt obsessed with fish. Now i want to go back and check it out again, i'll have an even bigger appreciation for it. I have a feeling the casino wouldnt be able to pull me away from watching the fish all day long!

Heck yes! It's all part of the outdoor saltwater pond mixed with the deep pond section that you can look into from the tube shaped glass openings.. I would go back to the bahamas strictly for the tanks @ that hotel.
PS - I think there's a requirement of all residents of Florida that says they must visit the bahamas

I have been there. It is AWESOME on Paradise Island. Incredible underwater aquarium.

I definatelt think that every Florida resident, not to mention anyone who has a love for fish, gambling, fun, or relaxation should make it out there. It is only a short flight from Miami. Did you know they prepare 600lbs of food for the fish a day. Could you imagine having to feed your fish that much?

I haven't been yet, but I will someday. I need to save some $$$ first! The place looks amazing!
