bah... Aquamains... bah...
I'm from Greenville, SC - previously from Greensboro, NC.... Aquamains isn't so hot.
If you're looking for a group of folks locally that can help you find some good LFS, I'm associated with a pretty large group of NC and SC reefers that I can have help you out.
Let me know

There's Fintastic down towards Pineville. Wet Pets in Gastonia is great. Mooresville has Sea shell petshop. It's the best IMO. There's also a good store in downtown Mt Holly. Hope this helps.

Greensboro checking in. Aquamains is touch and go for the most part. I would also loved to get hooked up with some local reef-keepers!

Hi-Tide on South Blvd...good knowledgeable small store.
Fintastic... Big commercial store, most employees not very helpful
Fins-n-critters...on Gantt St. Shelby. Awesome place, awesome staff. Very knowledgable AND they QT even their CORALS!!!
Frank-n-Peg's on South Blvd...small run down mom & pop's shop.
Tropic Pets on Wilkinson Blvd. Good fish, LR sometimes, no corals.
Wet Pets in Gastonia on Franklin Blvd. The staff lies!! But they do carry salt water fish.
Petland in the Arboretum on Providence Rd, they drip acclimate their fish. That's all I know about them.
That's all I can think of right now...

Put in pet stores in charlotte NC and then opt for fish & aquarium stores and it will list all the stores and directions. Except Wet pets and Tropic pets are not listed there...

Close to Rock Hill (I live in Fort Mill) are the previously mentioned Fintastic and Hi-Tide. One store in Rock Hill that used to carry SW closed and another on Cherry Rd didn't do SW last year, but that may have changed.
If you are interested in a local (Charlotte area) reef club, click my avatar and go to my homepage. You will find lots of Charlotte specific information on LFS and local SW hobbyists. Club meetings are the 3rd Saturday of each month and this Saturday just happens to be a tour of a few LFS and member's tanks.

Yup... those are the ones. It's been a while, so I'm going to have to go check them out again soon. I usually head North for LFS. The one that closed in Rock Hill was Herp Aqua.
Did you stay up all night setting up your new tank? You may want to check out our local reef club if you want to network with some locals in the hobby. There are some extremely experienced members as well as those new to SW.
Good luck and have fun!

no just the stand. petpros has a few different species practically no inverts and their live rock leaves alot to be desired for 5 a pound. Unfortunately the majority of the fish they have aren't suited for anything small. Oh yeah and petlovers went out of businuss and petpros just bought the building with everything installed already.
