does anyone has xenia problem in that they grow everywhere? mine seems to double in size every 2 weeks or less. anything eats them besides dwarf angels?
I wish i had that prob haha, umm if you can frag it maybe you could sell me some hhah im only IN NJ. So shipping woutlnd be bad. I have the opposite problem of you m8. I cant get it to grow at all ahahha
Alot of people have that problem with xenia, that is why i never add them to my tank. I have seen some really nice pieces too, just dont want it taking over the tank
I had a great big piece of the pom pom xenia and it never "wandered" into new places. It's spead was always predictable, and removing it was always easy and profitable.

Try to attatch it to your glass. Hopefully then it won't grow over other corals.

Hey NYCBOB where in NYC are you? I would gladly pick some up from you. I PM you please let me know.
Under 10K lights my Xenia never stopped. As soon as I went to 20 K they are not growing and noticeable thiner. Light might be the biggest factor for their growth.
Xenia hates my tanks. I have not been able to make it grow in the 55 or 75. I even bought the silver branch pumping xenia that was aquacultured and came with a certificate from the Dr's site and still no go. I'm clearly a horrible hobbiest
i bought a lil xenia frag that was on a snailshell for $5 at my lfs. it turned into the most awesome bush... switched to more lighting on my smaller tank, eh not so bushy anymore. actually gone.

Has it always come to you via mail order?? That coral is notorious for dieing during shipment. I'd say I'm surprised you found a site to buy it from that way, but when you said DR's, then I realized... they'd sell anything.
