The deep sea yellow one listed on this site looks like it would offer alot of color to a set up. Is this for a reef setup only, any special lighting requirements, any compatability issues exist? thanks for any info.

I think they have a high lighting requirment. I learned that the hard way when I was a SW noob i bought one. And im going to end it at that =(.

I have a Purple Gorgonian. I got it from a friend locally, just a lttle frag about 3 months ago. It was only 2 inches big when I got it
I keep it in mid flow, with 660 VHO.
So far it has grown about an inch, and seems to be doing great.

Actually, the deep sea yellow gorgonian is just that, from the deep sea! It doesn't have any lighting requirements, and in fact prefers as low light as possible. It does have to have high water quality, and will not tolerate algae (fighting that problem myself!). I love my yellow gorgonian, but they are work. I hand feed mine everyother day with either phytoplanton or microvert, when it's plolyps are opened. Mine is mad at me right now because I had to handle it to clean off the algae that exploded in my tank while I was out of town. You have to feed them or they will die, and even with that, I have had people tell me that they usually don't live very long in most aquariums!
