What type of lights are you running? What’s your parameters? These will be able to help solve some issues.
I have two right now that I have take over care for and they can be brought back, water needs to be good and they like to be placed in the shadows of the light.
I have and use lugols and kent marine Tech I and Tech D coral dip.

Only thing outta whack is the phosphates right now(dealing with hair algae). Salinity is 1.024, trates r 0. Regular ro/di water changes every weekend. I have 4 4ft vho's(new) and it has been from 15in away to about 7 in away. steady decline. What kind of shadow u mean? it is in moderate flow right now because it was getting cyano around its rim in the low flow. Only area in the tank with cyano. wierd

When I say shadow I mean right out of direct light. I have mine set up to the sides of the light and under a cliff. Light gets to the coral but very dim light with good water flow over it.
Sorry about the delay in response.
