whats up gang, does anyone have an aqua-medic t-1000 skimmer or have any experience with one, i bought one from classifieds and have looked at the instructions but im just not sure on how to actually set it up, if anyone can offer any assistance it would be much appreciated, main concern is water level and there is one tube which im not sure where its supposed to go, it is a outlet, and the instructions say to put it into the tank, is that the clean water? or is that extra water that is not being pumped in....right now i just have it in a rubber maid container not really doing much lol , it makes bubbles but nothing is getting up into the waste container, and i have the water up pretty darn high because im just not sure where its supposed to be...

ok well aparently it needs to have a pump pump water into it! i thought thats what the ocean runner pump was for, but i guess thats just for the air?
i just temporarily hooked up a rio pump i use for water changes and it works, i need to tune it obviously, but it doesnt matter right now cause its just sittin in the rubber maid, i need to get a pump for this thing an some tubing, kinda anoyyed i thought it was an all in one type skimmer....now i need to add another pump! grrr lol, oh well, it is skimming nicely now, little wet but with tuning and breaking in it will be fine...

i have one. used it on my 135 for 15 months, now i have it on my 54 corner. yeah it needs the pump to push the water through the skimmer, as all do (unless you decide to use a tiny one with an airstone) on the oceanrunner inlet, there is a small nozzle for the airline tubing to attach to. the impeller pulls in both water and air and chops the air into tiny tiny tiny bubbles, that then rise into the collection cup.
