Anyone have experience with decorator crabs?

Hello i just got a decorator crab and wondering what people think of them. I hear they sometimes take polyps to wear but don't do it unless they need to. i'm gonna try it out and see what happens

I have one and it used anything it could find for decoration. CC, macro, small shells, and just about anything in there, I did not have polyps then so...

lol I have one that took a whole bunch of my orange sponge and covered himself in it. He looks like a walking piece of cheese. I love him.

They will frag and wear anything they can get their clippers on. Thats why mine has earned the name "Edward Scissorhands". By the way they have excellent taste in the things they frag its "always" the most colorful and your favorite. The only exception was the green hair algae he took a liking to. It made it alot easier to get rid of cuz he was wearing it all!! LOL

got a decorator crab from this site. its pretty awesome. he actually came with an anemone attached to his back. he has molted once and put the anemone right back on him. its pretty awesome. mine also tries his best to escape the tank. never sucessful though. but sure is alot of fun to watch.

i have one that i love he is out all the time and the only thing he has touched is my plants and a few gsp that fell off the rock but that stuff was fair game i guess hahaha. alot of people have looked right over him thinking he is just part of the rocks. my cbs molted and he stuck it on his leg and i was so mad because i didnt relize it was a molt

ok he's still kinda cool but not so much anymore he was just munching on a mushroom. i'm not very happy about it.
